The company has acquired an initial portfolio of production, development, appraisal and exploration assets with significant growth potential. Initial production comes from Aurora's interest in the Avington field in Hampshire. In addition, Aurora has interests in the Waddock Cross appraisal project in Dorset and the Formby redevelopment outside Liverpool.

Aurora Petroleum holds interests in two contiguous exploration blocks in Dorset, considered by many to be amongst the most prospective onshore exploration acreage in the UK, targeting analogues to Wytch Farm.

We are also active in unconventional resources; holding the only pure oil zone acreage in the Bowland Shale play in the West Lancashire Basin.
